startx - starts the XWindows system. Just type "startx" at the UNIX prompt, then ENTER

xlsfonts - lists the names of all available fonts
xlsfonts "*helvetica*bold*140*" - will list all 14 point helvetica bold fonts

xfd - will display a specific font
xfd -fn "*helvetica*bold-r*140*" & - will display the 14 point roman helvetica font characters
